At this point you should:

Have general knowledge of the laws and regulations pertaining to the humane care and use of animals in research and the debate that has shaped them.

Be able to identify the federal laws and regulations, and EMU institutional policies that govern the use of animals in research.

Have a basic understanding of the review process that is conducted for research involving animals.

Know how to contact the EMU IACUC.
